2022 Advent Calendar – Day 8

I’m sipping this dram as I write the post. I’ve been a Bruichladdich fan for so long. From Islay, being mothballed as a distillery in 1994 to be restarted 2000 is one of the most progressive, transparent and amazing distilleries there is. From being environmentally conscious, to being a B Corp distillery, they have always broken barriers. Jim McEwan was a master at the craft and handed off the reigns as master distiller to Adam Hannett in 2015. This particular bottle is distilled in 2010, aged in 2nd fill Syrah casks, bottled specially for Singapore. This bottle took about a year to get from Singapore due to not being able to travel. So worth the wait.

PS: Singapore has amazing bars and whisky spots. If you need recommendations, reach out.
