I love Speyside peated whiskies! The unique character of a light style, fruity malted whisky combined with peat creates a unique flavor profile. Craftily married unpeated and peated whisky matured independently for at least 12 years in ex-bourbon, sherry, and Marsala wine casks, creates a creamy, fruity, and aromatic single malt. Master blender Dr. Rachel Barrie did a wonderful job with this highlighting dark chocolate, fruit peel and brown sugar on the palate.
