Starward! If you’ve never had Starward before, you’re in for a treat. Starward is a unique distillery based out of Australia. All of Starward single barrels are aged in ex-red-wine casks. This particular bottle was a hand select barrel by my local whisky group, San Francisco Whiskey Bourbon Scotch Society. Aged for 4 years in French Oak red wine casks, this particular barrel has notes of sweet strawberry jam on a warm croissant for me.
